WHAT IT IS: Having been included in many of the polls for 2018, Tom
Walker looks like he’s set for a great year. The Glasgow-born, Manchester-raised singer/songwriter is making his mark all over the globe with latest single “Leave a Light On.” The gut-wrenching track builds from a solo piano intro into an emotional crescendo of skittering drums and pitched-up synths, with Walker’s passionate vocals descending into a distorted plea to a friend in need. The track already has more than 45m global streams across platforms and is flying up the airplay, iTunes and Shazam charts all over Europe.
